August of 2006 we had a window of nice weather and took a little boat trip to Molokai. The first night we anchored at Ilio Point.

We trolled all the way from Hawaii Kai and finally caught a some fish right off of Molokai.

We had originally anchored further along the coast, but an onshore swell came up so we scampered to the protected anchorage of Kalaupapa. This is a gorgeous anchorage, but the water is rather deep which makes anchoring a little difficult.
